 In most models the voter casts two votes: one for a constituency representative and one for a party. If a candidate is on the party list, but wins a constituency seat, they do not receive two seats; they are instead crossed off the party list and replaced with the next candidate down. In the original variant used at first in Germany, still used by two States of Germany, both votes were combined into one, so that voting for a representative automatically means also voting for the representative's party.

I have to mend the extended smilie markup. There is a conflict with having the same syntax in Fox for field names.

Hi, this is a very nice commentbox :)

Hans17 July 2006, 09:38

Thanks! This is the way I added guibuttons to this commentbox: On the page, as markup above the commentbox:

--->(:cbox_guibuttons:)

The (:cbox_guibuttons:) directive is defined in a script I called commentboxgui.php, which is an adaption of pmwiki's guiedit.php script. So this needs to be loaded from the cookbook directory, with

# add guibuttons to commentbox
include_once("$FarmD/cookbook/commentboxgui.php");

It makes use of pmwiki's guiedit.js file in pub/guiedit/ and the guibutton images there. I added the smilies to the script and the pub/guiedit directory. for them to work it also needs installing of the smilie script:

include_once("$FarmD/cookbook/smileys3.php");

(I use a slighly altered version of the script).

You can download the scripts from here: Attach:commentboxgui.zip

Hans,

Hello from Oregon, US. I like the way your Blog has developed. Is it pretty stable now? Like the comment box buttons, makes it look very slick.

Will email this also in case you are not reading your test pages {happy}
